Here at Heidelberg, we work hard—but we think having fun is just as important. Our campus hums with energy, creativity, and humor. On any given day or night, sports, clubs, performances, and exhibits abound. Or you can simply enjoy the company of your friends, building ties that might well last a lifetime. We also strongly believe in supporting one another through both good and challenging times. We offer a range of academic and personal services to help all members of our community thrive and grow to their full potential. Here’s what we can do together.
Furniture
All bedrooms have a bed, dresser, desk, chair, bookshelf, and a wardrobe/closet for each student. Some living spaces may have additional amenities based on room type.
Technology
All Heidelberg residences halls are Wi-Fi enabled, including a direct computer connection in each room. All residence halls have access to 24-hour printing. Either a computer and printer or a printer with a network connection is located in the residential complex.
Kitchens, Lounges, and Rec Rooms
Every hall is different, but most halls have a basic kitchen and one or more lounges for you to meet up with friends or find a quiet place to study.
Laundry
Laundry facilities are located in the basement or common areas of each building and are free for residential students.
Waste and Recycling/Sustainability
Students are responsible for emptying their trash in the dumpsters outside each residence hall. Heidelberg is also committed to sustainability and has designated recycling dumpsters as well as recycling receptacles around campus.
Overnight Guests
Students are allowed to have overnight guests (non-students) provided they register them with Residence Life and Campus Security Offices. Students must also obtain consent from their roommate prior to guest stay.
Parking
Residential students have five designated parking lots across the campus. Some lots are open to students after 5:00 PM. First-year students are allowed to have cars on campus.
